Columbia Sportswear Company announced the appointment of Skip Potter as Executive Vice President, Chief Digital Officer, effective April 1. Most recently, he spent four years as CTO of Nike.
In this newly created role, reporting to President, President and CEO Tim Boyle, Potter will be responsible for leading Columbia’s global technology activities, where he will play a central role in the evolution of the digital footprint, omnichannel and corporate supply chain.
As a veteran of the tech industry, Potter brings a wealth of experience to Columbia. At Nike, he led a global organization of 2,000 digital technology and e-commerce teams. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Engineering and Vice President of Technology Innovation at Capital One. Prior to joining Capital One, Potter was CIO / CTO for British Telecommunication’s Enterprise Group.
