Columbia Athletics Updates Fall and Winter Sports Venue and Spectator Policies

NEW YORK – Columbia University Athletics has announced spectator advice for all home fall and winter sports competitions. All policies are in accordance with university, city, and state health and safety working group guidelines. These site policies and protocols are effective immediately.

All spectators in attendance, aged 12 and over, must show proof of vaccination to enter all Columbia Athletics venues. Unvaccinated persons will not be admitted to any Columbia University Athletics site. The Reopen CU application will not be sufficient to access these sites.

Spectators must wear a mask at all indoor and outdoor Columbia Athletics venues and facilities. When attending large outdoor public gatherings, it is important to take recommended precautions, including wearing a mask to protect yourself.

Concessions on all indoor sites are prohibited.

All policies are subject to change.

Baker Sports Complex

  • All spectators must be vaccinated for all events at the Baker Sports Complex.
  • All spectators are required to wear a mask at Columbia Athletics outdoor venues at all times. Spectators aged 5 to 11 will not be required to be vaccinated, but will be required to wear masks at all times. Spectators under the age of 5 are strongly encouraged to wear a face cover if possible. Entrance for all events will be at Gate 1905 located west of the Main Gate (Gate B) on 218th Street and Park Terrace West.
  • Spectators must use the entrance queues, before entering a baggage screening line.
  • Spectators must show proof of their vaccination in one of the following ways;

Lévien gymnasium

  • Attendance is limited to 70% of capacity
  • All spectators must show proof of their vaccination in one of the following ways;
  • Masks are mandatory indoors at all times.
  • Disposable masks and cloth masks are acceptable.
  • No neck warmer, buff or valve mask will be allowed.
  • All spectators must enter the Levien Gymnasium through the Broadway and West 120th Street entrance gates. There will be no entry from the 4th floor of the Dodge Fitness Center.
  • Spectators are allowed to leave the gymnasium and return. All spectators must present proof of vaccination at the start of the school year. If the event is chargeable, spectators must also show their ticket upon re-entry.

Percy Uris Natatorium

  • Participation is limited to a reserved pass list maintained by the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams

  • All fans must enter from campus, descending the stairs past the main entrance to the Dodge Fitness Center and through the Grove.
  • All spectators with accessibility needs can enter the Dodge Fitness Center via the elevator from Pupin Plaza (5th floor)
